My friends are in a band. I would post a link to their material, but they haven't got around to recording anything yet. Idiots. They're really quite good and I have a lot of respect for them for giving it a go. I went to a gig of theirs on Saturday and bopped around. Whilst every one else stood still. Seriously? How? People were literally just stood there whilst I jiggled away to my little hearts content. I don't understand how people aren't just infected by the music, how it doesn't just lift their soul and make them want to move around and maybe do some stupid dancing, maybe mosh, do a little headbang.
On a serious note, I think it's really disrespectful and disheartening for a band to see a bunch of people just standing there- so next time you see a band, even if you don't like them, do a token dance, even if it's just the macarena. Hey, you tried.
